AI alone won't change your business — the system running it will

Jay Parikh’s message is blunt: AI has arrived in the enterprise. Winners won’t have the most demos—they’ll turn AI into a governed, continuously improving system for real work. Chatbots help; transformation comes from teams of agents executing long-running work across functions—with identity, context, policy, and human oversight.

Microsoft agent platform

Three principles

Microsoft’s agent platform rests on:

A single integrated system — Azure, GitHub, Microsoft IQ, Fabric, Foundry, Windows, Security, and M365 operating as one coherent stack.

Security and governance by design — Entra, Purview, Defender, and Agent 365 native to the system, not bolted on later.

Continuous improvement — behavior, outcomes, and human feedback flow back so models, workflows, and agents compound in value.

Six steps: Build → Context → Run → Govern → Improve → Surface

Build in GitHub with evals and observability versioned like code. Contextualize with Microsoft IQ and Frontier Tuning. Run in Foundry with model routing, MCP tools, traces, and policy rails. Govern with Agent 365 at scale. Improve in a governed loop. Surface in Teams, M365, your apps, and Azure.
